What is a Grandma???

This is dedicated to my grandchildren, to whom I love very much!

A grandma is warm hugs and sweet memories. She remembers all of your accomplishments and forgets all of your mistakes. She is someone you can tell your secrets and worries to, and she hopes and prays that all your dreams come true. She always loves you, no matter what. She can see past temper tantrums and bad moods, and makes it clear that they don't affect how precious you are to her. She is an encouraging word and a tender touch. She is full of proud smiles. She is the one person in the world who loves you with all her heart, who remembers the child you were and cherishes the person you've become.

Grandmothers Defined

I thought I had forgotten how to hold a baby ~ but my arms remember.
Grandmothers are the people who take delight in hearing babies breathing into the telephone.
Grandmas give you the cherry off the top.
It is remarkable how, overnight, a quiet mature lady can learn to sit cross-legged on the floor and play a tin drum, quack like a duck, sing all the verses of The Twelve Days Of Christmas, make paper flowers, draw pigs, and sew on the ears of severely-injured teddy bears.
Grandmas don't just say "that's nice" - they reel back and roll their eyes and throw up their hands and smile. You get your money's worth out of grandmas.
Those gasps of astonishment, those shrieks of pleasure, those sighs of delight, lost long ago when your children grew wise and worldly ~ are suddenly given back to you by your grandchildren. What seems to be the same small hands clutch yours, dragging you from one excitement to another ~ "Look! Oh, look! Come ON!"
Grandmas bring flowers when your pet dies...and sit and cry with you.
All grandmothers like letters. Even if they just consist of a squiggle and a dirty finger mark.
Grandmothers are good at sitting on the floor to play, but they can be terribly difficult to get upright again.
